Anne DarConte, CAE

Anne DarConte, CAE is the Founder and Principal of Beyond K Street, LLC, a boutique public affairs and government relations firm. She has more than 30 years of federal, state, and local government relations experience and advises clients on strategic initiatives including advocacy messaging, grassroots and grass tops advocacy, Hill Days, advocate training, and community outreach. She is a Certified Association Executive, with experience in many areas of association management. Successful projects include: management of a 50-state coalition in the accounting profession including state legislative and regulatory matters, outreach priorities, stakeholder relationships with national and state-based organizations, and support for ad hoc state government relations initiatives. As the Director of Outreach for a 500-member energy trade association, she created that association’s grassroots and grass tops program. She has also served as Director of Grassroots for a $125MM trade association, responsible for the organization’s grassroots initiatives and Get Out The Vote program.

He has led the development and implementation of creative campaigns and product launches, named and branded startup organizations and helped turn around tired brands that no longer reflect the market. As CEO and Chief Creative Officer of his own agency for 20+ years, he has led creative teams and collaborated with associations to grow events, reach new members, evolve with the market and position foundations for greater success. A resident of Howard County, Maryland, Gerry serves as the Marketing Chair of the Howard County Police Foundation.

Elisa, an expert in association management and the membership experience, is a leader in innovative engagement solutions, tactical member development and operational effectiveness strategies. As founder and owner of Brewer Pratt Solutions LLC, Elisa brings her nearly 20 years of experience as an impactful senior staff member for trade and individual membership organizations, both domestic and international. Elisa is a Certified Association Executive (CAE) and holds a MA in Government from Johns Hopkins University. With her unique background in advocacy and activism, membership and stakeholder relations, as well as association management and operations, Elisa’s diverse expertise makes her a valuable partner and advisor to both nonprofit and corporate clients.

Bruce is a strategic advisor and consultant to associations and not-for-profit organizations. He creates successful corporate partnership programs that increase revenue and add member/constituent value. He has experience creating the framework and process; managing; and growing corporate partnership programs. He has worked with corporate partners, corporate partner prospects, and association leadership/staff/board. Bruce has held senior-level association staff positions with responsibilities for corporate partnerships, conference management, marketing, quality improvement programs, and coalition building. Drawing from these experiences, Bruce understands the “ins and outs” of association structures, governance, member services, advocacy, education, revenue streams, and conferences. Chris Trimmer, MBA

As the Principal at Association Evolution (www.associationevolution.com), a consultancy that specializes in working with associations, not-for-profits and professional organisations to grow strategically, Chris helps organisations decide if an international growth strategy is right for them. Additionally, Association Evolution delivers projects covering change management, business development, creation and implementation of innovative fundraising solutions, market analysis and strategic communications. Chris has over 18 years of experience leading on both strategy and the operational management of complex global charitable associations. Chris has an MBA from the University of Southampton in the UK, and a BSc in Biology from Royal Holloway University, part of the University of London. She is a member of the PCMA Board of Directors and she guest lectures on the Masters course in International Association Management run by Solvay Business School in Brussels, Belgium.
Lydia S. Middleton, MBA, CAE

Lydia is the Executive Director of the Association for Information Science and Technology (ASIS&T). She assumed that role in May of 2017. Prior to joining ASIS&T she served as an adjunct faculty member in the Milken Institute School of Public Health at The George Washington University where she taught courses in strategy, management, health policy and the US Health System. She currently serves on an advisory board to the Association for Talent Development. Lydia earned her bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Spanish from the University of Virginia, and her MBA from Thunderbird Graduate School of International Management in Phoenix. She became a Certified Association Executive through ASAE in 2002.
Scott Morris, MPA, CAE
Expertise: Government Relations | Grassroots
Scott Morris was with the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International as Director, State and Local Affairs for over 4½ years. In that capacity, he served as a resource for BOMA local associations and state coalitions to help strengthen BOMA’s collective advocacy and grassroots outreach. Previously, Scott was with the National League of Cities (NLC), where he served as NLC’s official liaison to the 49 state municipal leagues for 11½ years and as a senior policy analyst in the areas of transportation and economic and community development for 2 years. Prior to his work at NLC, he was a lobbyist with the Connecticut Conference of Municipalities (state municipal league) at the State Capitol in Hartford. Scott holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship & Public Affairs and a B.A. in Political Science from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. In addition, Scott has attained ASAE's Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential. Scott is active in the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), currently serving as Immediate Past Chair of ASAE’s Government Relations Section Council.
