April 21, 2024 | Sepp to Present at GSAE Annual Meeting this May
Wendy Kavanaugh, CAE, President, Georgia Society of Association Executives (GSAE) invited Cecilia Sepp, CAE, ACNP, Principal & Founder of Rogue Tulips Consulting, to present at the GSAE 2024 Annual Meeting. The session working title is “Ethics for Nonprofit Management Professionals.” Sepp is known for her expertise in the area of ethics; in addition to leading a monthly course with co-facilitator Cheryl Ronk, CAE, FASAE, she regularly speaks on this topic and is an advisor to her colleagues when they have ethical questions. “Ethics is part of our lives every day and impacts every decision we make,” said Sepp. “As nonprofit professionals, an ethical mindset is key to supporting and preserving the future of our profession because our organizations’ depend on their reputation to support mission fulfillment.” 

April 12, 2024 | Sepp to Participate as Panelist at AWTC Session—Leadership Excellence: Prioritization and Inspiring Change

Cecilia Sepp, CAE, ACNP, Principal & Founder of Rogue Tulips Consulting, will serve as a panelist at an AWTC session focusing on “Leadership Excellence: Prioritization and Inspiring Change.” While addressing leadership of complex strategic projects, the panel will also share their insights on how women lead differently and what they need to succeed. April 3, 2024 | Sepp and Broken Column Press Agree to Book Deal

Cecilia Sepp, CAE, ACNP, Principal & Founder of Rogue Tulips Consulting, met with Carl Weaver, CAE, President, Broken Column Press to outline a book series deal. “I’m excited to be working with Carl, an experienced publisher and coach for authors,” said Sepp. To kick off the series, Broken Column Press will release two short books on specific nonprofit management topics, with a four-book series to begin releasing later this year. December 14, 2023 | Sepp Presented at People Powering Tech Conference
Cecilia Sepp, CAE, ACNP, Principal, Rogue Tulips Consulting, participated in the People Powering Tech Conference convened by Qiqo Chat owner/operators Sandra Nam and Lucas Cioffi, and BJA Solutions owner/operator Barbara Armentrout, CAE. This unusual virtual conference was innovative and exciting, including 30-minute “short talks,” a morning kickoff “power panel,” and a fishbowl conversation. Sepp presented “Tools Don’t Do the Work—We Do,” a discussion of virtual work, technology, and how it impacts our lives. “Sandra, Lucas, and Barbara did a fantastic job conceiving and presenting this event,” said Sepp. “I am intrigued by the application of new styles of convening and learning that I am seeing this fall across our professional community.”

December 6, 2023 | Sepp Volunteers at AWTC Advance Conference

Cecilia Sepp, CAE, ACNP, Principal, Rogue Tulips Consulting, had a great experience volunteering to assist AWTC with its first in-person conference, AWTC Advance. Held on December 6, 2023, AWTC’s COMPLETELY VOLUNTEER organization pulled together an inspirational experience. “I have been attending AWTC virtual events and some receptions, and as a recipient of the AWTC Champion award this year, I wanted to show my support. Volunteering for something so many care so deeply about is energizing,” said Sepp.

November 2023 | Sepp Earns Advanced CNP

Cecilia Sepp, CAE, ACNP, earned the Advanced Certified Nonprofit Professional credential this month. In March 2023, Sepp took the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance online course and passed the level one credential exam with flying colors, earning the Certified Nonprofit Professional credential. “The reason I wanted to earn this credential is because Nonprofit Leadership Alliance offers a two-tier credential. The question I asked myself is: Can I do this? And I did!,” said Sepp. Sepp earned the Advanced credential by demonstrating ongoing education and volunteering, along with her years of professional experience. She said another motivation for entering the program was to learn more about tiered credential programs; she believes a tiered CAE program is a potential future path for the CAE credential.

January 25, 2023 | Sepp Presents at ASCO Webinar

Cecilia Sepp, CAE, Principal & Founder of Rogue Tulips Consulting, presented a webinar for the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) state leaders on the topic, “Creating a Board Orientation Program.” This practical/tactical webinar was a follow up to Cecilia’s in-person presentation in October 2022 at the ASCO State Affiliate Leadership Conference on the strategic topic, “Board Leadership & Engagement in the Turbulent ‘20s.”

January 2023 | Cecilia Sepp, CAE, Earns USF DEI Certificate

Cecilia Sepp, CAE, Principal & Founder of Rogue Tulips Consulting, completed the University of South Florida Diversity Equity Inclusion certificate program this month. This is a 14-hour self-study course that requires passing 7 quizzes to earn the certificate and digital badge. Commenting on the program, Sepp noted, “I'm very pleased to have earned this certificate as I learned new perspectives on familiar ideas, different approaches to relationship building, and inspiration for organizations to be more inclusive.”
